About the City and Guilds 3667 Qualifications

Total Network Solutions (Europe) Ltd are proud to be delivering City & Guilds 3667-02 Communications Cabling and 3667-03 Design & Planning courses. Total Network Solutions have been delivering various training schemes since 2009. This industry recognised scheme has been around for over 20 years and is highly recognised throughout the Telecommunications and data network cabling industry and was introduced because of the specialist skills required in fibre optic and network data cabling the course is continually updated and relates to the latest standards.

The fibre optics industry has a major skills shortage with most providers now moving towards fibre optic solutions to deliver faster broadband speeds fibre to the premises (FTTP) is the chosen method of deliver this advances from fibre to the cabinet/curb (FTTc) with many service providers choosing pure fibre solutions on either point to point (PT2P) or passive optical networks (PON) or point to multi point solutions. 

 

The qualifications from city & guilds provides individuals with a vocational qualification that is recognised throughout the industry and by electrical contractors scheme (ECS) where your qualifications are valid for the datacomms scheme. The city and guilds 3667 is the starting point for anyone wishing to gain knowledge if fibre optics and network data cabling the full qualification at level 2 Communications Cabling allows you to become a certified network installer

 

Don't be fooled with some qualifications the city and guilds 3667 programme is a recognised qualification endorsed by the fibre optic industry association (FIA-Online) to work for some employers you will also need specific accreditation’s as a foundation then specific accreditation for the likes of Openreach, dont be fooled by some training providers that say city and guilds is not recognised it is and it also vocational which means you are qualified in specific skills as you would have both theory and practical knowledge gained from the course. 

 

TNS Europe can assist with Openreach accreditation’s and FOA qualifications like Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or fiber optic specialist fibre to the home or even optical local area network specialist or blown fibre having a formal recognised qualification is needed then add any specialist accreditation’s after.
