About The Fibre Optic Internal LAN Course:

The city and guilds 3667-02 fibre optic internal LAN course provides delegates with the correct skills to install, fusion splice, terminate, maintain and fault find fibre optic networks in internal LAN environments. This course in fibre optics is recognised worldwide and is endorsed by the City and guilds and the Fibre Optics Industry Association (FIA). It is also the UK and European industry standard in fibre optic installation and testing.

On completion of the course you will be able install, test and maintain fibre optic network cabling. This includes the following key skills:

  • Fusion splicing external enclosures

  • Fusion splicing patch panels and optical distribution frames (ODF)

  • OTDR Testing

  • Connectors

  • Identify fibre optic cables

  • And much more.

 

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to start a career in fibre optics, with a recognised industry qualification normally from city and guilds. The 3667-02 communications cabling course was designed for the industry by industry experts. 

 

You will learn the correct procedures of installation and testing of fibre network installation and carry out network testing using specialist test equipment including OTDR’s, insertion loss testing and much more.
