Consent Coaster
Campaign
2017 - 2018
ABOUT "CCC"
The "Consent Coaster Campaign" is to spread awareness on consent. We hope it sparks a conversation around consent and sexual violence. By having more conversation we can empower each other and change a culture. We had a great kick off in 2017, where we had 5 official establishments participating by passing out coasters, and we also sent out consent bracelets where we had individuals across the globe wear and show their support on the importance of consent. Check out this past year below!!!!
FEEDBACK
"I think the possible of impact for this campaign became much more relevant to me now that i know i am having a daughter. I wish we lived in a world where we did not have this conversation, that everyone could do the right thing. Sadly we do not." - Jared Lordon, Chef at Social in Bakery Square
"Being located in the heart of a college campus, it is important to us that we are a part of the solution for this prevalent issue. Working with Voices of Hope gives us the opportunity to reach out to to our customers, a large part being students, and give them the facts on consent & sexual violence to help make our community safer." - Samantha Glunt, Marketing Coordinator at Stack'd
"The Voices of Hope's message is incredibly powerful, and Not On My Campus at Point Park University shares the same goals and values. Partnering with Kristine and bringing the Consent Coaster Campaign to our campus was another great step to spread awareness where it's needed, and we look forward to partnering with this great organization in the future." - Wesley Ehle, Point Park University's "Not on My Campus" Organization
Testimonials
As the Executive Director, for the Pittsburgh Human Resource Association (PHRA), Kristine and I have worked together in various capacities. Kristine began as a volunteer committee member, 4 years ago, and quickly became the Chair of our Networking Committee, rapidly advancing our Board initiatives. Most recently Kristine presented “The Silent Crime: What your organization needs to know about domestic and sexual violence in the workplace.”
"Kristine’s presentation provided the participants with applicable well-structured knowledge leading to an immediate impact within their organizations. For example, participants learned the definitions of workplace, sexual, and domestic violence? When does sexual and domestic violence become a workplace issue? The costs of violence in the work place. What you can do as an employer? How to respond to a co-worker who might be going through an abusive relationship or a sexual assault? And resources to help you through any of the challenges related to domestic and sexual violence in the workplace."
"The pace of her presentation is brisk and the manner in which she conveys the information makes the content easy to absorb. She possesses first-hand knowledge that is not readily available in books and not commonly heard from others. Kristine’s personality allows her to cater to a myriad of different personalities and professional backgrounds."
“Kristine Irwin provided the members of the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association with an incredible resource through her “The Silent Crime: What your organization needs to know about domestic and sexual violence” webinar. In just under an hour, Kristine was able to give a truly eye-opening perspective on just how detrimental domestic and sexual violence can be to a victim’s life, and what a severe impact it can have on their ability to thrive in school and/or workplace environments. By the end of the webinar, I was more educated about the topic and felt more empowered by the information and resources provided to help those around me. I highly recommend this presentation to anyone who wants to take the first step in helping to fight against the prevalence of domestic and sexual violence in and around the workplace.”

Kristine will combine useful, practical information and resources to provide a presentation with many immediately useful take-a ways.As the Executive Director, for the Pittsburgh Human Resource Association (PHRA), Kristine and I have worked together in various capacities. "Kristine’s courage to speak at our event about her personal experiences was inspirational for many. By sharing her story, Kristine offered a face to the issue of sexual assault and harassment that we were there to recognize and bring awareness to. Her ability to articulately describe her experiences, emotions, and actions that she took to overcome adversity will enable her serve as a role model for others. Not only that, but she was great to work with and she was always reliable."

"Our group, representing members from the greater Pittsburgh region, find her style to be engaging and informative and her evaluations indicate a high regard for her and the information provided. "
"Kristine Irwin spoke at the University of Pittsburgh’s first Undy 500, Race Against Sexual Assault and was such a great addition to our event. Her engaging and powerful speech illustrated the painful reality of sexual assault and empowered the audience through her ability to overcome such a traumatic experience. I am so grateful to have had her at our event and will be inviting her back to sexual assault awareness events in the future."
Jasmine Butler - Health & Wellness Committee at the University of Pittsburgh
“Ms. Irwin has been a speaker at several events associated with PAAR and sexual violence and she never fails to deliver her message in an engaging and authentic manner. Her personal experience, while incredibly tragic, gives her a credibility with a variety of crowds and I feel helps them connect with her. Her presence in front of a crowd is both powerful and approachable, a very hard balance to achieve.”
Ashley Bright - Development & Marketing Coordinator at Pittsburgh's Action Against Rape
"Kristine spoke at one of our chapter meetings and we were so impressed with not only her passion but also the importance of her message that we asked her to speak at our annual Leadership Symposium in April, 2017. We have received very positive feedback from the powerful message, the helpful advice to those HR folks who are facing domestic violence issues in the workplace, and the resources made available now through better awareness. Personally, after hearing Kristine speak, I was able to provide informational posters for all five of our locations as well as guidance to an employee who was currently involved in a domestic situation. Just attending to have these resources now available was invaluable to me as an HR department who wants to be an advocate for the employees. I would not hesitate to recommend Kristine to other organizations and/or workplaces who want to learn more about combating this issue."

Working with Kristine was absolutely amazing. She was so willing to work with our needs for Carlow's orientation and made everything as easy as possible. Not to mention she is incredibly nice! Having her come speak and share her story not only impacted our first year students, it really resonated with them. For the first time in my three years of being a First Year Mentor and orientation leader, this was the first time I ever witnessed students come up to a speaker and thank her for her time and for sharing her story. It was absolutely amazing hearing Kristine speak; the strength this woman has is amazing and it really impacts everyone who gets the opportunity to hear her story. I absolutely recommend hearing her speak to everyone!
