Network Cabling Infrastructure Design Services:

When working with TNS, network infrastructure design is carried out by qualified professionals. The network infrastructure design consultants at TNS have a wealth of experience in designing many different types of networks from structured cabling through to large IP networks.

The network infrastructure design has to meet the strict guidelines laid out in the industry standards to ensure the maximum performance of the network. We start this process with a consultation with the client to know the exact requirements of the network allowing for future requirements and expansion.

This forms part of our ISO accreditation process taking into account the various design standards these include:

  • ISO/IEC 11801

  • EN 50174

  • EN 50173

  • BS 6701

  • EN 7671

From these guideline we produce a detailed network design for sign off by the client once agreed the cabinet layout design process is produced and presented for sign off. Once agreed and all the designs are signed off the bill of materials (BOM) is produce and work can commence. Drawings are produced in CAD and Visio format.

There is more than just drawing lines on a piece of paper, containment and cable routes need to clearly identified, server rooms, and communications rooms need to be established and the rooms need designing correctly to allow for future expansion, fire stopping and prevention also needs to be considered, and the dimension of rooms, specification for containment all form part of the basic requirements.

Our qualified consultants hold valid qualifications, these include City & Guilds 3667-03 and BICSI RCDD, and carry out design tasks to ensure the network is designed correctly. A well designed network will reduce ongoing costs by allowing future growth of the network infrastructure.
