Following a cable related task, we carry out in-depth testing, and this is achieved utilising state of the art equipment. We also carry out third party inspections. Upon completion of our tests, we issue all the relevant certificates.

To carry out data cabling tests proficiently it requires the use of expensive equipment. Due to the price of these items they are only utilised by quality organisations.

Cable manufacturer’s clearly state; certificates should only be issued following the correct test procedures. Please note, all work carried out by TNS is backed long-standing manufacturer’s warranties.

To carry out fibre optic testing effectively, skilled engineers need to be proficient with:

• Fusion splicers

• Insertion loss testers

• Optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR)

If this equipment is not used, fibre optic cabling should not be judged fit for purpose.
