British Gold
May 2014
This project took life when my Nan found a dead bird on our back step. Of course me being me I had to photograph it, much to her dismay. Anyway after talking to my uncle who’s notorious for being the family ‘blacksheep’ he said he’d hunt me a bird next time he went shooting (the wildlife variety).
To my surprise, although I should have guessed… the next day he called to tell me he had two British Goldfinches in his shed that had miraculously died. Turns out they both had broken necks, so I’m assuming they had a domestic!
Anyway… the two ‘love birds’ ended up in my studio and the rest is history!
